How We Help

A process. Not a hope.

Five concrete steps. We do the heavy lifting so your volunteers don't have to.

  1. 01

    Form the right charity

Group your CC with neighbouring CCs, agree on governance, draft articles, register the charity. We handle the legal and administrative load.

  2. 02

    Identify community needs

We help you survey, map and prioritise the things community benefit should actually fund — GP capacity, transport, hospice beds, food banks, childcare.

  3. 03

    Build the proposal

We turn that needs map into a proposal an operator will recognise: numbers, governance, accountability, distribution model.

  4. 04

    Approach the operator

We take the proposal to the operator with a single point of contact and a credible ask. Operators much prefer this to dealing with 9 separate CCs.

  5. 05

    Receive and apportion funds

Funds flow into the charity, are split per the agreed model, and are reported transparently back to every participating CC and to the operator.

What it costs

Funding model — to be confirmed

NES-CBC's funding model is being finalised. Our intent is that no Community Council pays anything out of pocket — the coordination cost is funded from the community-benefit stream itself, on transparent terms agreed up front.
